In connection with the provisions of the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46 / EC, the Organizers inform that:

  1. Personal Data Administrators are:
  • Municipal Public Library in Gliwice with headquarters by the Kościuszki Street 17, 44-100 Gliwice
  • University of Silesia in Katowice with headquarters by the Bankowa Street 12, 40-007 Katowice
  1. Clarifications regarding matters related to personal data will be provided by the Personal Data Inspectors, e-mail: iod@biblioteka.gliwice.pl:
  1. The personal data will be processing for the purpose of conducting and promoting of the Competition, to the comunication between the Participant and the Organizers, as well as the organization and publication of post-competition materials and results including the name and surname.
  2. Personal data is not obligatory, but failure to do so will result in the fact that it will not be possible to submit and participate in the Competition, including the evaluation of the submitted works and the preparation of a post-competition publication,
  3. The Organizers inform that during meetings and events related to the competition, for promotional and marketing purposes, may be taken photographs documenting the course of such events (e.g. awards gala). By participating in such an event, the Participant thereby consents to the use of his image in the said scope and purpose, in particular by posting photos of the event on websites maintained by the Organizers or the event Partners, in other electronic media or Organizers publications,
  4. The Participant’s data will be processed for the period necessary to achieve the goal, i.e. in the scope of conducting and promotion of the Competition, as well as the organization and publication of post-competition materials, and after the end of the Competition, for the period of exercising ownership and author’s property rights in relation to the work submitted; after that time for the period and to the extent required by law or to secure any claims,
  5. Participant’s data may be shared with available entities than those authorized under the law and the other entities to the extent necessary for the proper organization of the Competition. They may also be made available for publishing or publication on third party websites, provided that the photographs and videos in third-party publications can only illustrate information.
  6. The Participant has the right to remove or limit the processing, the right to object to the processing, as well as the right to transfer data. In disputable matters, the Participant shall have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory body.
  7. If the consent is not withdrawn until the contest is resolved, the participant’s personal data will be processed to the extent necessary for the publication of results, publication and use of the works by the Administrators, based on the legitimate interest of the Administrator,
  8. The Participant’s data will not be transferred to third countries and international organizations, and will not be subject to automated decision-making, including profiling.
